 A photograph       By Shirley Toulson Summary   A photograph  is an interesting poem written by Shirley Toulson . According to the 1st stanza of the poem the poet's has describe about the 1st photograph. In the 1st photograph the poets mother was standing  on the beach of the sea. There two cousin  were also standing beside  hold her hands. The poet's motther was eldest among them . She was 12 years old, her uncle  was standing  with a camera and taking the photograph of them. There faces were sweet, lovely  and smiling. All these girls were looking  very beautiful. The waves of the sea were washing  their feet. According to the 2nd stanza  the age of the poets mother was about 32 - 42 years. She was preparing the children  for their holidays. The poets mother wass looking  the photograph  andd become very happy. The poets was also very happy to see the happiness of her mother.  In the 3rd stanza  the poets has describe, the photo off her mother's death. She was nothing

Shahpur is the nearest town to the village.  • Main Production Activities: Farming is the main production activity in the village Palampur.  Most of the people are dependent on farming for their livelihood.
